Holy Doughnuts Batman!!!

I just stopped by my buddy Mark's newest outpost of Doughnut Plant in the Chelsea hotel on west 23rd street here in Nyc. It is ridiculous, he has unleashed a whole new line of flavors. One of my favorites is the chocolate chip cookie cake doughnut. Unbelievably delicious. Get there asap! Trust me. It's worth the cheat on the diet.

Hit the famous Payne's BBQ

I have been hearing a ton about Mrs. Payne and man does she know BBQ. As soon as you walk on you hit a wall of smoke but then it develops into the most complex and delicious aromas. Her chopped bbq pork sandwich is so amazing. It is heavy in vinegar and topped with a mustard based cole slaw. I also got a smoked hot dog. Awesome.

Just landed in Memphis!

Love being greeted by the smell of BBQ at 8:30 am when I get off a plane. No, really I do !!! Going to hit some of Claire's favorite hometown spots. I can't wait to start eating.
