14th Annual NYC Chocolate Show
will take place Thursday, November 10 through Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. Tickets will go on sale in mid-August. I will be doing a very chocolatey demonstration and a book signing on Sunday November 13.
Sunday November 14th 2010, 2:30 pm. Come see Johnny do a demonstration of one of his high tech desserts from Jean Georges Restaurant using liquid nitrogen while explaining how to make equisite desserts at home. Saturday November 13th, 2 pm. The Alchemy of Taste and Smell: Flavor vs. Aroma with Johnny Iuzzini & Daniel Patterson. In this cooking demonstration and tasting, Daniel Patterson (Chef/Owner of San Francisco’s Coi) and Johnny Iuzzini (Pastry Chef of Jean-Georges in NYC and Head Judge of Top Chef: Just Desserts) will give you an insiders look into the way they combine flavors to create their unique dishes. Using similar ingredient building blocks (perhaps blood orange, or ginger, or black pepper) Daniel and Johnny will craft savory and sweet dishes off-the-cuff, leading you through their unique and different processes as you taste the results.Click here for more info and tickets
Thursday November 10th, 9am. Johnny is heading over to the Today Show to visit his friends and talk about the Chocolate Show happening this weekend and demystify the illusive chocolate souffle. He will be o in the 9 o'clock hour. You can get the recipe on the Today Show's website
