On Sunday, September 26th, chef George Mendes continues his Guest Chef Dinner series at ALDEA and opens up the kitchen to some of his buddies, who happen to be four of NYC's most lauded pastry chefs. This time there's a bit of a twist: each of these pastry chefs will cook one savory course inspired by dishes on the Aldea menu, while Mendes will try his hand at dessert.

The menu includes five courses plus wine pairings from Bayfield Importing, featuring champagne from Duval Leroy.

$150 per person, the pastry chef line-up is as follows:

First course: Alex Stupak, wd-50

Second course: Johnny Iuzzini, Jean-Georges

Third course: Brooks Headley, Del Posto

Fourth course: Michael Laiskonis, Le Bernardin

Dessert: George Mendes, Aldea

To make your reservation, please call ALDEA directly: 212.675.7223

Top Chef Just Desserts Premiere

Bravo's sweetest new series, “Top Chef Just Desserts" – a spin-off of the popular Emmy-nominated and James Beard Award-winning “Top Chef," will premiere on Wednesday, September 15 at 11p.m. ET/PT.  These chefs can have their cake and make it too as the main focus of this competition is the Achilles heel of most chefs: desserts!  This time the pastry chefs will see if they have what it takes to out flambé, out frost and out fudge the competition.
Twelve of America's best pastry chefs converge in Los Angeles for this first-of-its-kind dessert competition and have to impress Mr. Chocolate himself, Jacques Torres.
